Kenyan native Naomi Wachira has called the U.S. home for the past 17 years and has carved out an impressive niche for herself in Seattle’s ever-thriving music scene. We suspect her horizons will soon broaden considerably. A longtime Takamine player, Naomi recently contacted us to say that her friend, fellow Seattle-based artist Damien Jurado suggested that she switch from her Takamine steel string to a Tak nylon string, as he felt it would compliment her voice and style. We introduced her to the new hybrid P3FCN with its slimmer neck profile, which greatly appealed to her. Recently the Seattle Weekly named Naomi ‘Best Folk Singer’ in their annual ‘Best of Seattle’.
